The Story of The Lake And A Glass (Revising and Editing by @A.ksaraaa)
One day, near the lake, in front of an old man's house, the old man was looking at the lake when he coincidentally saw a man who had been walking around the lake and sat all day; daydreaming.
Not so long after, the old man heard a yelling from the man outside his house. Proceeding to walk closer the man, the old man then asked him, "What happened?". Yet the answer none, the man stared at him and stayed quiet.
The old man some how ubderstood just by looking at the man's face and ordered him to follow along. The old man led the man's way to his house and passed him a glass of water. But before the man drank it, the old man poured some salt into the water and told the man not to drink it until he finished pouring the salt. The man did nothing but obey the old man. Later on, the man drank water, and not long, he vomited.
The old man laughed and asked him how it tasted. So the man stared at him confusedly, since, obviously, the water tasted saltly. But then, the old man ordered the man to follow him again.
They walked back to the lake, where the old man told the man to drink the water of the lake. Repeating the same step, the old man poured some salt into the lake, and the man would drink the water again. This time, he did not vomit it. The old man asked him about the taste of the water while smiling, and the man replied that the water was tasteless, yet refreshing.
Eventually, the old man was teaching the man a piece of life advice. He taught the man that if our heart was narrow like a glass then the problem surely would feel bitter and unpleasant. Otherwise, if our heart was wide like the lake then no matter how bitter the problem is, it would feel tasteless and fresh.
